Welcome to Plug N Play Charters. We offer a great fishing experience using light tackle fly rods or spinning gear for many of the different species of fish we see frequent the waters along the south coast from early May until late October. If its anything from fly fishing with large streamers to tossing big lumber into the boulder fields then we can make it happen. Let Plug N Play Charters get you tight to the fish of a lifetime on your next fishing trip! The spring fishing for 2008 has been amazing to this point. Huge amounts of bait from squid, silversides, sand eels, and yes big adult bunker have invaded all the local estuaries and the bass and bluefish are right behind them. The fishing can only get better so book your dates soon as many choice tides and dates are filling up quick. Tight Lines! I just added a new Plug N Play Blog and will start to use this instead of the usual format of fishing report I've been using below. It appears to be easier and people really enjoy using them. |

| As I type this update I'm hearing reports of the first solid showing of Bonito and even Albies all along the Southcoast . Many reports are coming in from the Vineyard and Long Island but still I've not seen any on my daily hunts between here and the Islands which is no fun because everyone wants to chase them. I still get many calls and emails but I'm serious these small inshore tuna have managed to stay out of sight pretty well to this point. I really think the lack of bait we usually see along Newport and other areas has just not come together this season so far and until then I think the actual numbers of fish breaking on top may be very small. This makes it hard to locate them and in turn you spend hours looking for a fish that might just not be there or is there and not showing so you blind cast for hours with no results. read more here (Updated 8/24/08) |
